PG 78 Sport [Indoor] - Boules or Petanque
Project Glimpse 78 - Indoor Sport
This is the game of Boules or Petanque invented by the French. It is particularly popular amongst Southern Europeans. It is a much less complicated or expensive game than the English games of Lawn Bowls or Crown Bowls. In all cases of Lawn Bowls or Crown Bowls, a specially constructed "green" in which lawn has been mowed and rolled to an inch of its life is required. Whereas, this is not the case with Boules or Petanque. Carpet Bowls is also another game in the "bowls" family and I guess you could this game being played in this picture "Carpet Boules" or "Carpet Petanque".
59/365 Ice ice baby
Probably the strangest macro I've taken. It's bits of ice on the green indoor-outdoor carpeting of my front steps. They were at the leading edge of a pile of snow and I was struck by their shapes (must have melted and refrozen) and the way they were sort of floating over the carpet fibers. Needless to say, I didn't venture too far from home today. I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
